Recruiting only web based or possible in abap

Is the implementation of recruiting in sap only possible as web based (e-recruiting)?

or can it be implemented in abap, too?

If only in e-recruiting which requirements are for it (like a portal, the organizational management must be done in sap)?

Hi Damian,

It depends on which module you are going with.

The old recruitment is backend/abap based.

SAP e-Recruiting is a web based module, so no option to run in the backend. It uses web dynpro applications to run.

e-Rec requires either the portal or NetWeaver Business Client (NWBC) to run. This is for the recruiters and administrators. The candidate applications can be run without the use of portal of NWBC or integrated in ESS if you require.

e-Recruitng can be run completely stand alone, so without any integration or requirement to use other modules. However e-Rec can be intergrated to other modules like PA, OM and PD offering functionality like OM structure, positions with requirements, candidate data being transfered to employee upon hiring, shared qualification catalogue etc.
