Recording Dictionary

Hi,

If a master author changes the default recording dictionary style for a workarea, why does it not get changed for other SME users in the same workarea ? Any advice ?

If it is the default Simulation Recording Dictionary, and they re-synchronize, it should. If you mean that you have changed which Recording Dictionary is the default (i.e. you have created a custom one), then each Author needs to set this as their Default independently (for whatever reason, there is no 'global' setting for defaulting the Recording Dictionary - I have a Customer Improvement Request in for this - vote it up here).

Oh really! but many users don't have permission to change this within their role...

Every content developer can select the dictionary they want to use. To edit dictionary (change entries), person must be assigned to the Master Authors role.
