Recorded Simulation and it won't play

Hi,

I recorded a simulation and edited the job aid pdf. When I select the Play button the video just loads "trainer is loading. Please wait." the video never loads. Was I supposed to record a Guided Tour instead of a Simulation? Should I re-record the job aids in a Guided Tour? Please Help.

Thank you Kristina, I was able to get it to play from the workarea. It used to play when you make edits but that button doesn't work anymore in my chrome...

Thank you, I tried "launch the demo simulation from inside the project. Not sure if you have tried that. The local preview mode would me next to the save icon and will look like a play icon." this keeps loading and doesn't do anything. When I go to Workarea I can play the simulation. How can I get this simulation posted in the development environment (Test environment and not the real environment). I know Root Group is the real live environment.

Hi Rowena,

I think its like Jesse mentioned, a missing resource issue. If its run from the Managers Workarea but not from your Producer, you may have not the resources which are needed locally checked out. You can try to open the Producer from this Workarea (where it works) and click then on "Server Workarea" / "Check Out Objects". After this, please check there, if f.e. "Resources" are appearing which you could need.

To your second question:"How can I get this simulation posted in the development environment (Test environment and not the real environment)"

If you work with multiple workareas, you can choose in the Manager your targed workarea. On the right side you will see "Import Archive" There, you will see a small arrow. Click on this arrow and choose there "Import from Other Workarea"

It sounds like your Recourses are not published. Please make sure you have the resources and content published.
