Hi, I would like to record the context for a PDF that is published in the EnableNow library. The steps that are described in the manual (clicking on "Record Desktop Application Context") does not really work as the recording stops immediately after selecting the option and I am not able to click on any button in SAP. Is there anything I need to do different? Thanks.

Hi Theresa,
If you PDF document is has been added to Enable Now as a PDF document it is not considered to be a native Enable Now object. Given this, it does not many of the properties of native Enable Now objects, such as Simulations. One of the properties that is missing for PDF documents is the Context field.

If you want to record a context value onto a PDF document, it must be added as a Media Object to Enable Now. If you add the PDF document as a Media Object, you can still publish the PDF document and make it available to the relevant users but you can also treat it like a native Enable Now object and do things like record a context against the object.

Hope this helps.
Regards
Shane

I'm not sure what you mean by 'the recording stops immediately'. As soon as you select the application and click Record, it will capture the context (and for Desktop Assistant will store it in the Desktop Application Context property), and that is the end of it. It doesn't 'record' like simulation recording does. I just re-tested it and it works for me.
