Receiving error when updating personal data

Hi,

Our employee self service includes being able to update your legal last name and preferred name. However, after enabling the latest people profile, 2 errors are being received. 

1. Personal Information - You don't have the necessary permission.
2. This value is required - Gender

We have opened edit permission to employees to be able to update their personal data. We don't have Gender open for employees to edit, it's required in manage business config, but this has never been an issue for employees when they update their legal last name and/or preferred name. 

Is anyone else receiving these errors too?

Hi @Annie3,

Can you confirm if you have explicitly set the view permission for the gender field in your ESS Role? In my opinion, you should not get this error if you have set the view permission for the employees.
