RCM - Job Requisition Creation in Org Chart restrict access to position by Division

Hi Team,

We have a people pool for adhoc originators in RCM. These are non manager positions, that needs access to positions that belongs to the same divisions.

Is there a way to permission this in RBP for RCM? I tried doing it but the users still has access to all of the positions. Have you had the same requirements with your clients?

Appreciate your response!

Hello, marvinm28,

You can not restrict which position you can create a requisition for. If you have the permissions, you can create a requisition for any position, even fully staffed ones. For example, you cannot just limit creating a job requisition from a certain position for a direct manager.

The Job Requisition Icon is also not controllable by permissions, it will appear on any position with a Job Req for which you have permissions to view that position.

The proof is here.

Best regards,

Alina

Hi Alina,

Thanks for your reply this is much appreciated. I was thingking more on the EC side wherein can I restrict the positions I can see so when I am a non-magerial role. For example I belong to a certain division and even though I am not a higher role I can see all the positions on that division.

I tried to filter it but I can see all the positions which then applies the current limitation that you can create job requisitions on all the positions you can see.

Thanks

Marvin

Hello, marvinm28,

You can restrict the target population as you want. By default, All is selected, which means that the permissions you granted for this role are valid for all positions in the system.

  1. Go to the Admin Center - Manage Permission Roles - Select one of the permission roles you created - Choose Edit Granting for a role you’ve assigned this permission to in the Grant this role to section of the Permission Detail screen.
  2. Define target population in the second section of the Grant this role to... popup window
  3. Define target criteria in the third section of the Grant this role to... popup window. Only secured MDF object definitions whose RBP Subject User Field is left empty are available for target criteria configuration.

The examples are here and here.

Best regards,

Alina
