querying compound employee API for manager name

I am trying to query an employee`s manager`s name from SF compound API, i am using SAP CPI for the integration, i am trying to do this without adding an enrichment call. I was reading up the SF compound employee API and i found this in the latest document

" A common use case here is to query data of the employees' managers. Use the
associated_employee_information segment to get the managers along with the employees, instead of
querying this data separately "

Has anyone ever done this, This will reduce the number of calls needing to be made to SF Hugely, if any example can be provided for this would be great.

i get that segment in the response from the query but it does not have the managers name !!
