We are implementing both Recruitment & PA modules for the customer. In the Recruitment module, the customer wishes to enter the applicant data into the system only after the initial shortlisting. What are the typical infotypes that are included in the infogroup for Applicant action? As far as I see, Persoal Data, Addresses, Qualification, Previous Employment are the important ones. Are there any more?
Also, when the applicant is converted to an employee (thru Hiring action), these infotypes should not appear in PA40. How is this integration acheived? Through which integration switch?

Request clarification before answering.
U will not be running PA40 for the applicant, who is selected as employee. U will be doing it through PBA7 and PBA8. It will display all the infotypes (that u mainitained in applicant action) with the current data. If u need u can modify otherwise just save it.

May be, I did not explain my query properly. The customer wishes to enter some basic information about the applicant in the Recruitment module. The information typically available at the stage of recruitment are Personal Data (name, address, DOB), Previous Employment Details (like earlier companies, where he worked, along with the duration & designation etc.). Also, when the customer wishes to "Offer" the job to the applicant (if he is selected), they can enter the organizational Assignment data like, position, personnel area/subarea & employee group/subgroup. My first query is, how is this data entered into the system? Which transaction code? Also, how do we set up the Action (infogroup etc.)? Is it through Applicant Actions?
Now, if the "Offered" applicant joins the company, then the available applicant info should be transferred to the PA module, so that he becomes "Hired" now. During this process, the applicant, who becomes an employee now, should be assigned a personnel number (internally or externally, depending on the configuration). Also, the user provides the Joining Date. How is this transfer done?
Once "Applicant to Employee" transfer is done, should I use PA30 to update the remaining infotypes configured in the Hiring Action?
Hope I am more clear with my query now.

Transfering the Appicant cant be done in two ways
1).Create a Action Type " Hire Applicant" and u need to assign Infogroup and for Infogroup u need to assign the Infotypes and the action can do this executed from T-code: PA40
2)T-code: PBA7
Once the Applicant is granted ffered letter u need run a recuitment action "Prepare to hire " and after this dirrectly we can transfer the Applicant from the above methods and the only differece while transfering the Applicant to PA is we only give the Applicant Number and the infotypes we trigger one by one as defined in infogroup for Action Type 60 which is linked To PBA7 t-code.
System will assign the Employee numbers as per NUNKR feature while the Applicant is moved to an Employee
The Best option is go with T-code: PBA7

For your requirement you will have to create applicant actions and enter info through PB40(Applicant actions). Typical applicant actions could be Initial entry of master data, Additional data, prepare to hire, SAP has most of them as standard.
As far as the data to be captured, you cant do away with the Actions infotype, here you will capture for which position, recruitment is happening. As you are saying data will be entered after initial screening, i hope this information is available. Typical infotyoes to be captured would be 0,1,2,6.0105,23, etc.and is based on business requirement.
Once all processes are complete, we will have to make the status of applicant as Prepare to hire and then we can transfer applicant data to personnel data through PBA7.
Hope this clarifies your doubts

Hello;
With report PBA7 you transfer the applicant data to personnel administration. You may simply not run this report for not transferring data from recruitment to personnel administration.
