Proxying as an associate

Hello,
I’m in an admin role, and when I proxy as an associate who has a question about learning content, I can only see the old learning experience, even if they have already transitioned to the new one. This makes it challenging because I often take screenshots to guide them, but I have no way to verify which version they are using and often have to duplicate work with screenshots. How can I work around this?

This occurred to me when trying to assist a SUPERVISOR navigate the new learning experience we just made default. When I proxied, I was in the old experience which didn't make sense to me.

I have had success using a direct link to LMS instead of clicking a Quick Action card/using the menu. 

Set up your poxy, and from the home page, copy/paste the direct link to the LMS in the browser's address bar.

Hi Chris- Thanks so much for your response! Unfortunately, I may not have been clear in my initial question. To clarify, is there a way to determine which version of the learning experience (new or old) an associate is using—without needing to contact them directly or have them screen share with me? Appreciate your help!

Hi mdudley2, my mistake. I also have broader "Proxy" priveleges within SuccessFactors, not just LMS. Which is what my inital response refers to. You're quite right, regardless of the interface set by the user, the Proxy function in LMS displays the old version. You could consider turning off the "old" view altogether?

@mdudley2, on top of what @M_jess1 mentioned, it's currently targeted to have it improved with the 1H2025 release (User proxy for administrators through the new homepage). Additional details are to be available in the What's New Viewer in the upcoming weeks.

As per KBA 3511497, currently the "Launch Proxy" action (Learning Administration > People > Users > Actions) will display the legacy Learning home page, even with the "New Learning Experience" toggle on for the user being proxied.
