Program with external internship?

Hello experts,

perhaps you can help me.

We have to map a course in the LMS. This consists of 8 theory modules that take place as face-to-face events and 40 hours of practical training that each participant must complete (at different times) in order for the course to be considered completed.

My idea was to create an item and a course unit with 8 days in the agenda for the 8 theory modules.

Then I pack the course unit into a program that takes place in a fixed period of time.

Within this period, the participants have time to complete the theory modules and the practical course.

There is no problem with the integration of the theory modules.

But how can I define the internship? Even so that the participants have to upload the internship confirmation so that the internship part is considered completed?

Or does a course consisting of internal courses and external internships have to be designed in a completely different way?

Maybe you have some best practice examples.
