Dear community,
Our customer would like to build a pre-approval process for the Managers to request their collaborators to do some overtime.
We have built something similar with extra time types, but they would like to give the manager the option to ask the employee to perform an amount of hours of overtime in advance, and then the employee would decide when and how distribute them. Instead of the manager deciding when, the employee would adapt his work hours to perform that overtime along the week.
Example:
Manager: I want you to work next week +5 hours.
Employee: would work his theoretical working time and would decide to perform the overtime:
Is it somehow feasible to build in Time Management?
Thank you in advance,
Laura

Hello Laura,
this is a classical use case for so-called "attendance time accounts". This is not yet in place, but on the roadmap. Concepts are ready, if we are lucky.....and this means: no comitments here....we can build it in H1 release. But don´t nail me on this - depending on the speed of development and priority of other topics this could also spill over into H2 release. So, I think we can say: it is planned for 2025 ;-).
With the extra time type you won´t be able to cover this - as here the manager needs to state the exact start / end time or day. The extra time type can only be seen as a workaround till the proper attendance accounts are in place - and in your case it does not even help.
Best regards
Volker
