Post Actuals from CATS with exchange rate type M

Hi All.

We have set am exchange rate type P in the version 0 for our controlling area. The version is set up for plan and actuals.
Exchange type P is updated in the beginnig of the fiscal year with a calculated/supposed exchange rate.

We are using CATS for internal time recording and allocation. The system now uses in default the exchange rate type P within the transfer between CATS and CO. This causes deviation our CO department wants to avoid.

How can I now manage to transfer the internal effort with exchange rate type M instead.

Thank you for any hint.

Best regards and thank you

Soeren.

Hi Soeren,

Why not to maintain KP26 prices in the Company code currency instead?

It can be NOK, DKK, SEK for example without any currency conversion.

Regards,

Paulo

Hi Paulo,

might be an idea, but the CC currency in this case is e.g. DKK/SEK, the group currency is EUR. So in my understanding, the only way to maintain the prices in KP26 would be changing the currency in the Cctr, wouldn't it. ?! which side effects would this have?

Hi Soeren,

No, you just need to setup the new planning layout for KP26 where you maintain values in the Company code currency. SAP standard layout is pushing you into CO Area currency, but it does not need to be one. In that case you will be getting translation to CO Area currency and not the other way around.

Paulo
