Possibility to change the button translation in a custom portlet

Hi everyone,

we have created a custom portlet to upload legal documents and now client wants to update the "add" button to reflect "add documents".

When analysing the translations through "manage languages", the add button is a standard one, also used for other portlets, so if we change that one, we will also change it for the others. The translation has a dynamic {0} which is not working for this portlet.

Any ideas?

Hello Marta,

In this case I think the label "Insert new record" is ok because every time you insert a new record you're putting a new attachment and the other would only be visible in view history for the MDF.

You could try creating a child MDF object associated with this one and there you would have the option to name it "Documents" so every time someone edits it it would say "Add documents" and all the documents would be visible in the profile without entering the history view.

From my understanding, it would change it any all portlets not only for the one you specifically mentioned.
