Position code generation

Hi All,

I created a position code generation sequence and assigned it in Position (OnSave event) and WF is triggering for new/update positions.

But, when I create a New position and WF is triggered, then when I create another position, the number range is skipped.

When I have gone through the Position management handbook, it mentioned using "Validate" and that option is available only in the below scenario.

But, the problem is there is no Set option and only Raise or Execute shows, below is the screenshot for your reference and the handbook shows as "Set"

Regards,

Srikanth

Hi Jasper,

Right now, I have the above rule for Position code generation and assigned it in the On Save rule, and it's under the Basic scenario. The number sequence is not too far, only 1 number is skipped when workflow is triggered.

I thought of let me try as per the handbook, but the Set option is not showing when I selected the particular Scenario

Srikanth

Either you might try the old school way (as visible below) or you may need to check if the rule is in fact on save on the position object / check if the number on the position sequence object is too far ahead of the current numbering (as yes then it will be skipped):
