Position Change Sync Issue to Job Information (Manual timeslice creation)

Hello,

One of the ongoing issues we have, that has never been resolved, is the name changes of foundation objects which do not automatically sync to related objects.  For example:

• Changing the Position Title will not sync automatically in the Job Information unless a timeslice on or after the effective date of the name change is also manually created
• Changing the Department name will not sync automatically into Position or Job Information unless a timeslice on or after the effective date of the name change is also manually created

Are there other customers who experience the same issue when it comes to automatic creation of timeslices corresponding to the changes they initiate in the position level?

Yes we experience the same issue and manage it manually. There is also impact to RBP's which are defined at position level. We do not update on EE Job information portlet, as and when EE event happens the title is refreshed. Its too much manual work to keep in sync Position and EE side for position title changes only

Hi, I'm wondering which field in position you were updating, if you update a field called New Position Code Title (the one with a earth icon for translation), the update should be synced to job info even if you do not insert a new time slice and this has been verified in my SAP. Best regards, Elsa

Are the business rules for sync job info/pos mgmt and vice versa failing to update the fields you desire even with those fields attributed on both sides?
