Portal Integration with Erecruitment EHP4 SP02

Hi All.

I am deploying the Erecruitment solution integrated with HCM ( same instance), Currently we are using EHP4 SP02 for Erecruitment along with NW7.02 SPS008 EP. I have activated the following business functions

HCM_MSS_ERC_CI_1-603

HCM_ESS_CI_1-603

HCM_ESS_CE-603

HCM_ERC_SES_1-603

HCM_ERC_CI_1-603

I am able to access the WDA for Recruiters, External candidates ,Internal Candidates etc from the back-end (testing services from SICF).

Are there any standard roles available in EP to be able to access WD applications for the Recruiter.As a make shift arrangement I have created a custom Iview and role in portal for WDA of Recruiter dashboard, but I am pretty sure there would be standard roles available in portal for accessing the WDA also.

Can some one advise me in the current configuration level , how can I access the WDA for Recruiter etc from Portal.I read many posts here and in other SAP help portal, and my understanding is that I will need to upgrade the Support package level.But this would also have impact on the compatibility with all the components.

Hello Akash,

Portal roles for E-Recruiting are only shipped from BF HCM_ERC_CI_2 on.

Thanks for the reply.

In the existing configuration level (EHP4 @ SP 02 and NW7.02 @SPS 8 EP) ,is it possible to activate Business Function HCM_ERC_CI_2.

Will it have any side effect on the existing bsp applications.I read in many posts that after activating this BF ,system does no longer support the existing BSP applications

I can see the Business Function in SWF5

Hello Akash,

Yes, that's true - with HCM_ERC_CI_2 the Web Dynpro applications on recruiter and administrator side are implemented and hence, BSP no longer supported.

If you want to include your BSP startpages in the portal, I am afraid you will have to create own BSP iViews calling the startpage application.

I agree NIcole with the work around solution you provided.Baiscally the need is to use WDA for creating requisitions as Manager.And there are no WDA for managers( only MSS ,which again is in BSP ).

In my other post about workflow also,you replied that the workflow which is trigerring is of recruiter and not of Manager.

So what do you suggest ,for using the Recruiter WDA for creating Requisistion ( as Manager )subjected to proper approval worflow( Single stage Approval )

Your suggestions would be immensely appreciated.

Hello Akash,

If you use the BF HCM_MSS_ERC_CI_1 you use the requisition request in MSS as manager and that is based on Adobe forms. I am afraid you can't only use one service in WD and others in BSP unless it is a custom developed one.
