Play Simulation action doesn't work when TTS is added in SEN

I added the Text to Speech audio for the simulation. In the simulation start page template, I created a button (Using Shape) named "Start Tutorial" and Linked it to the "Actions" as "Play simulation" and the result is the button doesn't work. When I delete the TTS audio, the button works by starting the simulation. Alternatively, I used "Next Step" action. It didn't work either.

Note: I took the simulation template from a standard workarea. Master Resources -> Miscellaneous (Templates ...) -> Bookpage Templates -> Template Pages -> Tutorial Start Page

And this is the page

Have anyone experienced this and got any solution ?

Thank you.

Hi @ShaneLipke

Its not about playing audio. When I click on "Start Tutorial" button, its not playing the simulation, though the Action is Play Simulation. When I remove the audio from the simulation, it is playing the simulation.

Hi Mani, OK I understand now. When the Text to Speech audio is in the Simulation, has the audio finished before you click the button. If you are not making any other change to the template and it works without audio, I assume that the audio is still running when you try to navigate.

Hi Mani, Either there is an issue with the setup of the template or something very strange is occurring. The audio should have not impact on you object Actions or Link Actions work. If you haven't managed to work it out, send me a DKP file with the template and I'll take a look.

Hi Mani,

I think that the issue that you see is a limitation of modern browsers; they don't want to playback audio unless the user engages with the content, e.g. click a button.  Once you engage, the audio starts playing.  The only way that I've found around this issue is to add entries to the Sound Settings of my browser.

I've found that the following settings allow the audio to play automatically in Edge:

The first setting allows the audio to play when I test the content in Producer.  The second setting allows the audio to play when I play the content from Manager.  This is the setting that is relevant for the users accessing content from Manager.
