Planned Break time gets auto updated in Timesheet while submitting clock in and clock out.

Hi All,

We have a work schedule with planned break time as below. (Variant as clock times)

Scheduled Working Time : 8 AM - 5 PM

Scheduled Break Time: 12 PM - 1 PM

in time sheet, when we put below punches:

Clock in at 8 AM

Lunch Out at 12:30 PM

Lunch In at 01:05 PM

Clock Out at 5 PM

Time Event Pair formed are:

Regular hours: 4.5 hours (8 AM - 12:30 PM)

Break: 0.5 hours (12 PM - 12:30 PM)

Break: 0.58 hours (12:30 PM - 01:05 PM)

Regular hours: 3.9 hours (01:05 PM - 5 PM)

The highlighted break "Break: 0.5 hours (12 PM - 12:30 PM)" got updated automatically in Timesheet.

we want to know why this break time gets updated automatically.

this is impacting the Time Valuation, Is there any way we can restrict it.

This looks like a misunderstanding of fix breaks vs. dynamic breaks. Fix breaks get always deducted for overlapping working time. You need to use dynamic breaks.

Check the documentation on dynamic breaks (or this blog where I have explained this my blogs)

And please use either the SF Time community forum SF Time community or the SF Time Partner forum .

I don´t use SAP community often.
