Payroll Control Center - Start process for specific employees in payroll area

Hello Experts,

Is there a way in payroll control center to start a process for specific set of employees instead of the whole payroll area? The payroll driver and other selection screens don't allow for employee number to be entered as per note# 2826762.

Actually my question is similar to the question https://answers.sap.com/questions/13101340/payroll-control-center-selection-screen-options.html. The OSS note# https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2691133 suggests a solution but it is too much work to change code each time if you want to test with different set of employees each time in Development/Quality environments.

The current work around I am doing is to lock all the other employees except my test employees in the payroll area via IT 0003. Please let me know if there is any other way to run a process for specific set of employees.
