PayHours Difference in Payroll run for the Paid Leave Absence

Hello SAP Experts,

I’m encountering an issue in the payroll run,  when calculating PayHours for a paid leave absence.

For the payroll period 23.09.2024 to 06.10.2024, the PayHours generated differences for the paid leave absence is maintained in the system:

• Absence period from 09.09.2024 to 31.10.2024: The PAB function calculates 35 PayHours for this payroll period.(incorrect calculation)
• Absence period from 23.09.2024 to 06.10.2024: The PAB function calculates 42 PayHours for the same payroll period.(Correctly calculation)

The employee, absence type, and payroll period are all the same. The only difference is the absence period:

• In the second case, where the absence period matches the payroll period, the 42 PayHours are calculated correctly.
• However, when the absence period starts before the payroll period and ends after it, the calculation results in 35 PayHours.

Could anyone help me understand why there is difference in PayHours?
