Pay Scale Structure association in Position Object

Hi Experts,

We have requirement from our client to add the Pay Scale Structure into the Position Object. But we notice that the association is not working in the Position Object. Currently we are using below PS Structure:

- PS Area

- PS Type

- PS Group

By referring to this KBA - 2612188 - Position Management: Adding and Filtering Pay Scale fields in Position object, it will only work to perform the association at the PS Level field in which we are currently not using it for our client. Appreciate that if someone would be able to provide how we can achieve the association of the PS Group based on the PS Area and PS Type.

Why would it only work in Pay Scale Level? In their example they have nicely also shown how to do it for Pay Scale Group (and even to the respective pay scale area and type to be fair):

Pay Scale Level from the screenshots could be skipped if you don't want to store it.
