pay range in position

Hello,

I am trying to configure pay ranges on position by following below instructions as mentioned in this

KBA - 2458839 - How to Configure Pay Range in Positions - Employee Central - SAP for Me

how ever I see pay range is displayed on the fly before entering the values at position, but I do not see pay range getting displayed once after position has saved.

I have configured the business rule as shown below

I have saved the rule under manage data - object configuration as shown below

I have saved the rule also under configure object definitions - position - company field as shown below

with this configuration steps in place, now that I am trying to either create a new position or modify an existing position under manage data tool. as you can see pay range is also getting displayed

but once the position creation is done, the value at pay range disappears unfortunately.

Any reason what was missing here?

Hi,

I have made the same configuration in my demo and I observed the same behavior as you did which is: Though on the editing page pay range can be calculated, when clicking on save, the value will disappear.

From my opinion, this is expected and it has been indirectly mentioned in the KBA as well.

Export Position = Transient fields will not appear in an export of the position object, as the data is calculated on the fly, and not stored in the database

It means that the data itself is not stored in the instance, hence it will disappear after saving.

But you can create a case for this for double confirmation.
