Paragraph formatting and text alignment in eRec correspondence letter

Hello Experts

Im having a couple of random issues with eRec correspondence letters.

1. The smart form for correspondence has a From Address which has a Style assigned to it (Left aligned). In the pdf attachment, the output is perfect. However in the email body, the alignment goes for a toss.

2. When you alter the changeable area in the letter, spaces appear between random lines.

Im a little lost on what can be done to fix these. I have tried changing the smart form layout, make the from box a bit bigger, but nothing seems to be working. Your valuable inputs to help fix these issues would be well appreciated!

sincerely,

Hi,

Check if the solution described in KBA

1998866 - Unwanted space lines in preview if you set space lines in changeable letter section

works for you here.

Hey Nicole

Thank you for your input. I tried searching for the KBA but Im yet to find it.

I tried to get the ABAPer to look at it and he feels it could be related to character condensation. He's gonna look into that, and meanwhile if you could link the article, I would really appreciate that!

Thanks again,

Hi Nicole

I tried to find the KBA again and somehow this time SAP gave me the KBA instead of last time when it said it doesn't exist. May be I entered the wrong number, no idea.

Anyhow, this solved my problem. The only issue now is that, the recruiter has to go to every paragraph that exists and manually remove the spaces between adjacent paragraphs and then press "Shift +Enter". It works, but Im not sure our Business Users are going to be very pleased.

Let me know if you come across any permanent fix! Ill keep trying as well.

Thanks a ton,

Swethnisha
