We use, or at least plan on using, the Business Integration Builder that comes packed with add-on PA_SE_IN for Employee Central to SAP HCM integration. Multiple questions arise at this juncture. I'm not sure if each question should be a different community question or if they all can come together.
1. Apart from the standard Infotypes, there are at-least 4 custom Infotypes that should be filled via the BIB. The document says this is possible. But, It doesn't explain whether we need the Infotype decoupling to be done or not especially when the document specifically talks of switching to new infotype framework. Do we need infotype decoupling? Please confirm.
2. The customer uses HR Processes and Forms. And would want to continue using it (a lot of invest has gone into it). The idea is Employee basic data, job, address et al. is filled in EC, replication is run and then the comp info should be entered in SAP directly i.e. via HR P & F.
Question for them is can we do away with PA_SE_IN and use HR P & F APIs to fill in data into SAP. I understand this is not recommended as there is no support for that from SAP. But the IT and HR at the customer know HR P and F and would want avoid any new components like PA_SE_IN. Goes without saying that this will be a purely custom integration.
Apart from the cost and SAP support perspective, can this HR P and F do what they are hoping for it to do?
Request clarification before answering.

Yes we need infotypes decoupling
Please note BIB and EC replication is based on Decoupled infotypes framework

Hi Ido,
I am not sure for which kind of hint you are looking for?
I am not an expert in SAP HR Topics.
