My organization is reviewing our annual performance appraisal process. We currently use a 1 – 5 performance rating scale but most people do not use the full scale. There is limited use of the 1 and 5. What performance scale do you use? 1 to 3? 1 to 5? 1 to 7? Or a custom rating scale?
