Hi,
Can anyone suggest what solutions/services SAP has given to store HCM employee historical data from non-sap legacy system? or in other words if client is moving from non-SAP system to SAP SuccessFactors, then where can employee history from non-SAP legacy system can be archived in SAP ecosystem/landscape?
I know about third party options like OpenText, Snowflake, google cloud etc. but I am wondering what storage options has SAP has given for SAP customers? Also, has anyone seen SAP HANA Cloud database/Postgre (Data services of SAP BTP) used to archive historical records?
Also, can SAP ILM be used for this purpose? As per my understanding SAP ILM is mostly suited for existing SAP customers i.e., who want to archive data from their ECC (Sap legacy system). SAP ILM is not a flexible option if we want to archive data from a non-SAP system.
Regards,

Since historical data is not supposed to be updated a simple background information portlet is sufficient for your need.
you can decide the number of fields you need based on your requirements.
if these data need to be queried by api or integration make sure it’s easy enough or else you may have to switch to MDF objects.
