Dear Experts,
Onboarding 2.0 vs Recruiting: Can we launch Live Onboarding without Recruiting implementation Can we launch Live onboarding 2.0 without recruiting? More specific, no recruiting configuration and implementation will be in place in client environment. I am asking since the recruit/review hire data mapping fields configuration of ONB requires the fields of job requisitions of REC in configuration/implementation step, so we need to setup REC in order ONB to be Live even if REC will not Live to the client or we can skip somehow the first step of Review Hire Data in ONB configuration and process respectively?
Thank you a lot,
Best Regards,

Hi georgiakappa,
The answer is a Yes. It is possible to configure standalone Onboarding 2.0 module without Recruiting. You get an option to manually start the onboarding process within the onboarding dashboard. Please refer to the implementation guide for more details: https://help.sap.com/viewer/c94ed5fcb5fe4e0281f396556743812c/2011/en-US/9a0148484a4c4387b9e2941be57c...
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,
Ajeesh

Thank you Ajeesh for your quick reply! It is really appreciated!
So, we can initiate the onboarding process manually without the recruiting module as per implementation guide, though I would like to be sure that in case we do not configure anything from REC in the environment (none of the xmls and job requisition templates) and if we do not configure the field mapping for the review hire data, when the initiate onboarding will be triggered manually, the task of hiring manager Review Hire Data will be skipped and the next steps will be the onboardee to fill in the paperwork and in parallel the hiring manager to add task where applicable?
Thank you a lot in advance,
Best,
Yes, your understanding is correct.
