We are currently live with offboarding 1.0 and in upcoming month we are going live with offboarding 2.0. Is there a possibility to have OFB 1.0 available to complete the pending offboarding cases along already live with OFB 2.0?
can someone share the guidance?

Hi @singhvijendra ,
Yes, it is possible to have both Offboarding 1.0 (OFB 1.0) and Offboarding 2.0 (OFB 2.0) active in SAP SuccessFactors, but with important limitations and considerations.
Key Points to Consider
1. Coexistence of OFB 1.0 and OFB 2.0
SAP does not support full coexistence of Offboarding 1.0 and Offboarding 2.0 for the same population.
However, limited coexistence is possible if you segment the user groups clearly and apply targeted business rules.
Example: OFB 1.0 handles users already in offboarding before go-live of OFB 2.0.
OFB 2.0 handles all new offboarding cases post go-live.
2. Pending Offboarding Cases in OFB 1.0
You can keep Offboarding 1.0 active for pending cases, while new offboarding requests are handled by OFB 2.0.
Ensure you don’t deactivate OFB 1.0 immediately after go-live of OFB 2.0 to allow completion of in-progress cases.
3. System Configuration Requirements
You must ensure that Offboarding 2.0 business rules only trigger for new cases.
Use effective dating or eligibility rules to route employees to the appropriate version.
Communicate clearly with HR users to avoid manual triggering issues.
4. Data Migration
There is no migration path from OFB 1.0 to OFB 2.0 for in-process cases. These need to be completed in OFB 1.0.
Archive or document these cases if needed for compliance before final deactivation of OFB 1.0.
Recommended Guidance
1. Review all in-flight offboarding cases in OFB 1.0 and estimate completion time.
2. Configure eligibility rules to divert new offboardings to OFB 2.0 only.
3. Keep OFB 1.0 active for legacy/pending cases until all are completed.
4. Monitor both workflows for issues or overlap.
5. After all OFB 1.0 cases are closed, deactivate Offboarding 1.0.
Hope this helps!! Kindly let me know if any queries.
Thanks,
kr,
karthick.
