Occurrence of one time payment

Hi Experts,

I'm trying to create a business rule which checks the occurrence of one time pay component . If it is more than 3 , then error message should pop-up.

I used cardinality() to count the number of occurrence. However every time it returns "1".

Attached the business rule I created. event type is "On -save" under payComponentNonRecurring

Please let me know if there are any way around to get the exact number of occurrence.

It's a bit more of a hassle and it requires a bit of a migration, but you could also have a custom field in the one time payments and make sure a business rule defaults that with the value 1. Then you could use a sum formula to check the amount of the sum to see if it surpasses the threshold of 1.
