New US Requirement For Disability Self-Identification

Hello Experts,

The US government recently issued a regulation requiring applicants to self-identify as having a disability.  Please see the following link:

OFCCP Issues New Applicant Disability Self-I.D. Form - Publications - Miller Johnson

The US government has issued a form to use in order to collect this information.  A JPG of this form is attached.

Question: Will SAP provide this form for use in E-Recruiting since it is a US government requirement?

Thanks for your help.

John Holland

Hi John

The answer here from our product support is no, the additional questions can be included with a new questionnaire. You can either change the EEO structure to include this option to make a new question available for EEO questionnaires, or to enhance the application wizard to make a checkbox available there asking this information, storing it on a customer include from one of the candidate's infotypes. And then later, adapt the infoset query accordingly.

Our interpretation of the legal requirements is that this simply needs to be incorporated into the existing EEO questionnaire and this can easily be done but also keeping in mind that you will need to create a new questionnaire as already used ones must not be changed. (so this works for WD and BSP).

Hope it helps!

Hi Sally,

Thanks for the response.  My concern is that the electronic version has specific requirements.  Here are those requirements:

"(You) may create an electronically fillable copy of the form, provided that it meets certain requirements.  When creating an electronic version of the form, contractors must ensure that the form displays the OMB number and expiration date, contains the text of the form without modification, uses a sans-serif font (such as Calibri or Arial), and uses at least 11-pitch font size (with the exception of the footnote and burden statement, which must be at least 10-pitch in size)."

The above is mentioned on several websites.  I copied the above from

Be Prepared! New OFCCP Requirements - Wiley Rein LLP

It appears that the US government is requiring a specific format just like we are required to report annual income to the government using the W-2 form.  Therefore, I would expect/hope that SAP would provide this capability.  Is there not any hope for SAP to do something given that this is a US government requirement?

Thanks again.

John
