Hi,
I have a strange scenario that I need advice on.
My organisation has added 3 new employees to Employee Central.
There appears to be conflicting status in each profile where they are both Inactive and Active.

The users banner states that they are Inactive, they also do not show up on the Org chart.
However, when looking at the users Job information portlet the employment status is Active and there are no termination details in the employment details portlet. There is also no historical entry in Job Information where the user has been made inactive or terminated.

How do I make the users active again?
Doe's anybody know why this would happen?
Is there a way to avoid this happening again?
Thanks
Tom

Hello, I am facing the same for a user with a hire date as of yesterday and the HRIS sync already run. Shouldn't this be enough to make it active in EP?

With the information provided, I see some situations for this behavior:
1. This can happen when importing only the Employee Profile (EP) with the (UDF) file. Therefore, job information can remain active.
2. Another possibility is to have deleted the termination history in Job Information. I think this one is less strong because it would also make the user active on the EP. To verify, you can create a Table report (Personal and Employment Audit) Select Job Information and put this user as a filter. It will let you know if there is a termination record deleted.
3. Another important point to check is if the Event Reason is set up correctly. They need to change the employee status on termination events. Go to Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structure, and see Event Reasons. Look for those that have the event as Termination. (All of these will appear in Take Action: Termination). See if the employee's status is terminated as well
Important to say:
Employee Central provides the option to carry out the termination process through the Take Action option. This makes the job information record inactive and synchronizes with the EP in the same status.
If you are unable to solve it yourself, you can ask for help on the SAP support portal. They will help you to investigate this scenario.
Hope this helps

One more question on the resolution (thanks for sharing)...
The import of employee data is that for each portlet or for job information only?
