net salary calculation (SuccessFactors EC)

Dear All,

Requirement: To show the net salary in employee profile in compensation portlet. need to deduct the employee's deduction from Gross salary to calculate and show the 'net salary' on employee's profile.

Question: How to write business rule for this scenario, what should be base object and where to assign it. Please help.

We would never show the net salary via a calculation in EC, net salary should be sent from the payroll system, however this is available on play slips, so why do you need it in ec?

yes, would like to have it in employee profile if possible, when employee sees his own compensation details he should see net salary also.
