Hi everyone,
We are new to using SAP Enable Now, and I would like to know the best practices on Naming Conventions and using content metadata. It would be helpful to see some industry best practices regarding these topics.
Thank you so much.
Naming convention: Of simulations? Just whatever task it is covering. Personally I prefer mine to start with the gerund, so "Creating a sales order" although some people prefer "Create sales order". Of Book Pages - same as you would do for a slide in PowerPoint (only because generally the Name is displayed as the slide title) but make sure they are unique. (SAP Enable Now will absolutely allow you to have two objects in the same Group with exactly the same name, but I don't recommend this.)
For metadata, it depends on what you want to achieve. I always maintain the Short Description and Description - these (can) appear in the Trainer, printed documents, and SAP Companion, and may also be included elsewhere via placeholders. Keywords are also useful as learners can search on these (I think by default Name, Description, Short Description, and Keywords). Just about everything else is for the benefit of the developers (Content Categories, Tags). Roles is useful for SAP Companion Learning Center and/or ...for Desktop.
