Multiple Bonus Plans and Business Rules/Calculations

Hello,

In Variable Pay, some employees have two assignments/bonus plans due to changing roles throughout the year. Managers are expected to rate the attainment for both assignments the same so that the averages calculate correctly. Are there business rules or calculations that can be done where if employee gets a new bonus plan it defaults to the attainment entered on previous bonus plan?

With this design where achievement of individual goals are entered in VP it wouldn't be possible.

Possible design change :

  • use a design called Assignment Based Rating where one individual achievement percent for all goals is entered instead of one achievement for each individual goal (that would already limit the number of entries by the manager to 2 instead of 6).
  • Have managers enter the achievements in Performance forms (requires that Perf and VP forms are in their inbox at the same time) and have them flow to VP as read-only.
