Modify Form Route Map pertaining to PMGM

Hey Peeps!

I have a query pertaining to Modify Form Route Map.

Requirement: Modifying the Route map due dates after the forms are live and completed the Mid Year steps.
Enabling the form to move to the next steps based on the new schedule.

Process Followed: As mentioned above the forms needs be routed on the new scheduled route map dates. 
Used the "Modify Form Route Map" transaction to update the dates and checked the "Automatic Send on Due Date" checkbox using the KBA 2087312.

Initial Configuration: Initially in the route map the due dates were set for October however, the dates needs to be set for future. Automatic Send on Due date checkbox wasn't enabled.

Issue: The dates in the forms are getting updated, however, the forms are not getting routed as per the new schedule.

Please help me if there is any workaroud to route the forms as per the new schedule OR justify the issue.
