Mobile usage statistics for the SAP LMS

Are there any reports available to view mobile usage statistics for the SAP Learning Management System (LMS)? Specifically, I am interested in finding out how many users are accessing the LMS via mobile devices. This information would be useful as people are requesting more flexibility in their learning options and as mobile usage is increasing. Additionally, it would be helpful to know how widely used this mobile access option is, in order to assess its effectiveness and make any necessary adjustments.

@patricia09.

I have embedded the free Google Analytics tools in our learning courses. I can go to the Google site and get tons of fun data, like devices, browsers, locations, etc... I feel like that is a more robust solution than relying on the LMS to collect it.

That being said - I do wish there was a way to quantify the number of users using the SF app and a further breakdown showing items completed online vs the downloaded offline option in the SF app.

Hi Chris,

That seems to be a good workaround. Can you share more details on how to embed the Google analytics tool in Learning courses?

Thanks!

  1. Create an account in Google Analytics
  2. Once you create an account, the GA site will give you a javascript code snippet to add to your lesson. Lots of options and instructions on the site for that.
  3. Embed the cod in your lesson. You can either do that within the authoring tool, or by adding the code to the SCORM files after you publish. It's a matter of what works best in your tools and workflow.
