Hi everyone,
I hope you're all doing well.
I’ve recently reviewed the new enhancement, RCM-119380 – Migration of Interview Scheduling using Microsoft Outlook Integration to Work Tech. I am currently working on this integration, but we’ve encountered some challenges during the implementation process.
One question we have concerns the setup. If we implement the integration in production using the Interview Scheduling Outlook Integration instead of the Work Tech Configuration, will we need to perform any additional steps after the 1H 2025 release? Should we instead move forward with the integration directly via Work Tech to ensure long-term stability?
Additionally, we are considering testing the configuration in the preview environment, even though the credentials will remain the same. Would this be advisable, or are there any risks to testing in this way?
I’d appreciate any insights or advice from experts who have worked with this integration or have experience with the upcoming changes in 1H 2025.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi,
We have recently replaced out Outlook integration to Work Tech to include MS Teams for interview scheduling. This is making a lot more sense to us to have all the integrations in Work Tech but we also found that is was optional.
If you turn on the integration in Work Tech, make sure you disable the one in Outlook Integration, otherwise you will have conflicts.
As for using the same credentials in test and production, we have it this way and have no issue. We only have a production Outlook/MS Teams so we didn't have a choice and it is working fine.
Good luck with your enhancement.

Hi Pascal,
Thank you for your comment. I was able to perform the integration via Work Tech for the first time, and here is my scenario.
I connected the integration "Outlook and Teams for Online Meetings." After that, I went to "Set up Interview Scheduling Outlook Integration" as I found a KBA that mentioned having both integrations may cause some issues (same I think the escenario you had) . Then, I went to Manage Recruiting Settings under Microsoft Integrations with Interview Scheduling and tried to click "Verify and connect," but I encountered the following error:
"errorId=null, timestamp=null, errorMessage=ServiceApplicationException occurred while validating RCM EAS Validation for TEAMS_ONLINE_MEETING, server=91pc57bcf200, versionInfo=Release%3A%20%2020250208075305%0AServer%3A%2091pc57bcf200%0ATimestamp%3A%202025-02-18T13%3A29%3A44.616%2B0000"
I resolved the error by configuring "Set up Interview Scheduling Outlook Integration." After setting it up, I was able to complete the connection in "Manage Recruiting Settings," and while the Teams information did not appear in the email right away, everything worked fine the next day.
Let see if someone from SAP can clarify if it is necesary or no, I think in the implementation guide it said that is mandatory.

@mfpabon23- We received the same error when we tried enabling "Outlook and Teams for Online Meetings" in Work Tech! We had to go back to Outlook Integration only because Interview Scheduler was completely unusable. But because we removed the configuration, SAP Support could not replicate the error and closed the ticket.
The transition back to Outlook Integration was not smooth either! I've spent the last 3-4 weeks trying to iron out all of the issues. Currently working on invite emails getting stuck in "Delivering" status.
I look forward to reading about your experience and the experience of others who have successfully enabled "Outlook and Teams for Online Meetings" in Work Tech.
Best of luck!
Tara
I am facing exactly the same issues where when i click on Verify and connect in Recruiting settings, the system is throwing the error "errorId=null, timestamp=null, errorMessage=ServiceApplicationException occurred while validating RCM EAS Validation for OUTLOOK_CALENDAR, server=31sc66bcf1016, versionInfo=Release%3A%20%20%2020250226073907%0AServer%3A%20%20%20%2031sc66bcf1016%0ATimestamp%3A%202025-03-04T01%3A15%3A34.275%2B0000".
SAP are just pointing towards integration issues. All the integration credentials are correct and all the permissions have been opend up in Azure.
I tried going back to the old way of integrating using Set up Interview Scheduling Outlook Integration and that too isnot connecting now. Have raised tickets with SAP. Lets see what they come back with
I tested this in Preview by disabling the old Outlook connection, updating my email address to the company one in the test, and adding myself as a recruiter in the interview scheduling. The new connection worked like magic!
