Hi All,
We have not implemented contingent workers but have been hiring contingent workers as skeleton employee records. We are planning to implement contingent workers now, do we have to terminate the existing contingent workers hired as employees and import the contingent workers or is there any option to convert them as part of the implementation.
Thanks,
Anand

There are 2 approaches thinkable:
1. Export data, Remove data & upload as contingent workers
You could export the important data (i.e. job info), delete it (via import) and then start doing loads to fully make the user a contingent worker.
2. Terminate worker and Rehire as contingent worker
You could also choose to terminate the employees as of a certain date + rehire them as contingent worker (keep in mind this does change their user-id and may also do the same to their username.
Both are not exactly favoured for integrations normally, so its important to make a choice and assess + mitigate the impact.

Curious to know if you went into the trouble to import on the same person ID External multiple CW employment records

Hi Jasper,
Job Info should be full purge.
Thanks

Hi Jasper,
Thanks for you input. In case of option 1 do you mean reloading of job information using full purge mode to convert the employee record to contingent worker, will this cause the compensation portlet to be removed and work order to appear.
I am leaving the question open for a few more days to see if I get any additional options.
Thanks Again,
Anand
