Message not being sent because of SSO

I am trying to use the Messages feature in Manager and it not working. I was told to tell IT to send the following parameters when new users use SSO to access SAP Enable Now: last name, first name, email. IT said they are passing those parameters but nothing displays in the those fields. The only thing it shows is the email address in the Logon ID field. IT suggested I confirm if the SAML attributes are correct.

If I manually create a user and include those fields, the user receives an email sent through the Messages feature.

Any suggestions?

Bottom line is it is not sending those attributes. Make sure they are passing them with the correct attribute identifiers. firstname, lastname, email. Get them to check the mapping. Here's an example:

Hi shonmarie,

Dirk is absolutely right. There is an issue with attribute mapping on the SAP Enable Now side. I would suggest creating a ticket to SAP (KM-WPB-MGR) and telling them to update the mappings. Please provide the actual attribute names that your Identity provider is sending in the ticket.

You can get these attribute names i.e. with the Chrome plugin SAML Message Decoder.

Kind Regards, Anton
