Hello!
I am in my first year of processing the merit cycle for my organization (so please pardon my ignorant question), and I was just made aware of a date change that needs to occur.
When I first set up the Compensation Plan, I was told to use March 8th as the effective date for the Publish Settings in the Employee Central Settings section of the Plan Setup. I just finished a meeting where I was told that March 8th falls in the middle of a pay period, and we would instead need to use March 4th to be inclusive of both weekly and bi-weekly paid employees. I was warned by my predecessor that once the Compensation Plan has started, any changes made to the Plan Setup would cause major issues. We are now in the 4th week of manager approvals since the process began.
My question is: if I change the Publish Settings date to reflect 03/04 instead of 03/08, what are the ramifications?
Thank you so much for your time and wisdom!

Hey Kris,
It is HIGHLY recommended that you do not make this change as it can break all of the forms. Even if it does not, you will likely not get it to work properly anyways.
Instead, I recommend you do not publish through the standard tool. Instead extract the compensation change data and perform a mass employee data change import with the changes. This way, you can have control though the import file of the effective date.
Hope this helps!
