Maximum Compensation guidelines supported?

Hello,

Our client is trying to import merit guidelines with 71K entries and system is throwing an error popup. I believe its due to the volume of guideline entries. At 25K, the import is successful.

Can somebody help me with how many max guidelines are supported? And with 71K entries, how can we manage this import in the comp system?

@xavierlegarrec Any suggestions?

Hi @PoojaRane

Is this box below checked ? "Enable guideline optimization" in Plan Setup > Settings.

Is there a way you could simplify the number of entries by placing the complexity in custom fields of the worksheet ? by having 71k guideline values you are running a high risk of poor performance issues, especially if UserID is used an attribute which I have documented here.

Finally comment from our product team: can they try adding the values to the template xml and importing the template itself.

Thanks

Hi Xavier, Yes the Enable Guideline optimization checkbox is selected. Is there a maximum number or an upper limit of guidelines above which the system cannot handle?

@PoojaRane Not that Product team is aware of. They are asking that you please create a support ticket (or share in this chat) the company ID and the timestamp for when you see the error message (try again loading the 71k values, wait until you see the error message then get a timestamp) so they can check what kind of issue it is (system timeout or issue with file). You can also get the x-id and share it in the ticket. I've documented how to get the x-id in the blog about latency that I shared as a link in my previous comment (see last paragraph at the bottom).
