Manage Pending hire from Inbound Integration Center?

Hello Community,

this question is a system landscape request for the EC Manage Pending hire screen.

Is there an option to add to be hired/recruited employees from a external system (and not from SuccessFactors Onboarding or Recruiting) Specifically, my customer want to fulfill the Onboarding process and data/information gathering process for a Onboardee/Candidate in Microsoft SharePoint system.

The plan is to get an inbound file e.g. CSV document from this system on an SFTP and SuccessFactors EC is taking this file and reading this into the Manage Pending hire screen.

In general is this kind of inbound integration for to be hired/recruited employees possible and where can i find more detailed information about the implementation process?

Hi Marcel,

Did you find a solution for this? We are looking at something similar and would like to use Sharepoint for some of our onboarding tasks, but want to populate it from RCM or MPH. I would interested in hearing how you were able to implement a solution for this.

the information being displayed in MPH is transient info :

It s calculated on the fly based on RBP permission of the user so there is no actual adhoc domain containing these info.


only solution is to create a complex robot that proxy each recruiter and replicate on a third party system ( sharepoint or other) the info visible in MPH.


we don’t have the money for that so we gave up on improving the way we can notify the users they have action to perform.

The possibility would be to integrate with SF Onboarding and this one sends to the EC MPH.

Notes to highlight here:

  • Candidates move to Draft when employee data is saved at "Add new hire" wizard or "Rehire user" wizard, or Manage Pending Hire from ONB or RCM only.
  • There is no other way to change the Draft except by entering the rest of the data manually.
  • For the customers requirement it's best to use the import feature of creating a user in Employee Central.

For my customer requirements, I managed to have an automation bot to login into the SuccessFactors System as soon as a new CSV file is generated by SharePoint. This bot is creating the hire in "Add new employee" in EC and saves this entry as draft. Afterwards a person e.g. HR user can take this new employee, add information or modify and hire the new employee in the normal EC way.

This solution includes a automation bot and a CSV interface from SharePoint to a SFTP server. The bot need a SuccessFactors user account with RBPs to "Add new employee".

This is only a workaround and my customer is implementing Onboarding and Recruiting soon.
