Does anyone here have this similar scenario in their organization wherein a certain population of people is not covered by the Performance module? For example, all employees who are hired in September and onwards each year don't have a performance rating. But they will be part of the Variable Pay program.
As a consequence, the standard totalIndividualRating field in Variable Pay form will appear as 'unrated' for these people. What we need is to be able to change the performance rating to another value in the Variable pay form manually (if there is no automatic way available). The standard totalIndividualRating field in Variable Pay currently is not editable. Custom field with link to totalIndividualRating in the formula is not an option since field with formula should always set the Read-only to "Yes".
Would like to learn if there is a best practice for this situation or how it is addressed, if there's a similar case in your organization.
Request clarification before answering.
Hi abigail_lapuz_00
Guidelines in Variable Pay support custom fields (since 1H 2021 release I believe).
I have never tried this myself but I believe the following would work:
The only drawback is that you wouldn't be able to make this visible only for employees with an unrated rating, it will show for everyone which is why I think it should only be made visible to Comp Admin.
All the best,
Xavier
