Hi,

our client has only one "compensation Plan" for all the employees in the company and we are using "Second Manager" heararchy. We have one specific category of employees who are spread in all the compensation work sheets along with other categories of employees. After launching the compensation work sheets, our client has the requirement of making this specific category of empoyees should be not-ediatable after spacific date by compensation planners, where as these planners should be able to edit other categories of employees in the worksheets. Could you please confirm how we can achieve this requirement?

Thanks,

Bhanu Prathap

Hi, I would recommend on this topic my latest blog post : https://blogs.sap.com/2021/01/27/use-case-field-level-eligibility-in-compensation-worksheets

It may give you some ideas. For example only make recommendation non editable with a business rule after a certain date. That would work in my view.

Hi Bhanu,
this is not possible to accommodate with the current functionality of Compensation Management.
A manager has access to edit all eligible employees in his/her purview.

Best regards
Kim 😉

Hi Xavier,

Thanks for your response.

The problem is that if we put an eligibility rule to exclude the employees of this employees category on a specific date, these employees will be grayed out and the data of these employees will be erased from the work sheets.

Our requirement is that even after this specific date the employees need to be in the worksheets but should not be editable.

Thanks,

Hi Xavier,

Thanks for your response.

The problem is, if I put eligibility rule to exclude this employee category from a specific date, these employees will be grayed out and subsequently the data regarding these employees as well will become blank in the work sheet.

Our requirement is to have the data of these employees remain in the worksheets but should not be editable.

Thanks,

Hi Bhanu, the only way to do this in my view would be to edit your eligibility rules after worksheets have been launched (and on that specific date) and make that specific category of employees uneligible. Then run an "Update all Worksheets" job for the template with the checkbox "Apply compensation eligibility rules" turned on.
