Hi experts,

we are try''ing to sent an invitation from e-recruiting via email notification.

When viewing it through SAP (TA: SOST) the format of the text is perfect.

But when the notification is sent to the user's Email (Outlook, gmail or gmx) the format gets missed!

At transaction SOST there ar any words formated into bold but after the mail reach outlook the formate isn't there anymore.

We configured the output option to 'SSD_HTM'.

Please can anyone advice me how to solve this problem.

Thank you

Hello Fabian,

MS Outlook 2007 no longer uses Internet Explorer as a "Rendering Engine" for HTML documents. Instead, the "Engine" of the installed Word version is used. This "Engine" has different restrictions when displaying HTML documents; read the following Knowledge Base and MSDN article:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933793
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa338200.aspx
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa338201.aspx

Solution

If you want to send HTML documents by email, create them according to the guidelines specified by Microsoft.

Regards

Nicole
