Looking for ideas on how to avoid backdating learning items...

Hoping to find an efficient automatic solution that avoids 'backdating' the learning item.

We have a learning item (CVC) that holds a 1 year retrain period. Within the initial 1 year the new employee must complete a verification of competency assessment that then reverts to a new learning item (VOC) that holds a 3 year retrain period as a business-as-usual reaccreditation assessment requirement.

The 3-year assessment (VOC) is set on learning profiles via curricula to capture the mass number of employees with this learning requirement.

When using the substitute functionality for these learning items, unfortunately the 3 year (VOC) shows as completed on employee learning history which we don't want as this assessment will not be completed immediately.

Currently our only solution is to backdate the 1 year (CVC) to flag the 3-year (VOC) required within initial 1 year timeframe.

Does anyone else have learning items with similar characteristics and how do you have them set up?

Check if there are any custom settings or configurations that allow you to modify the behavior of the substitution functionality. You might be able to adjust the way the substitution is recorded in the learning history to prevent the 3-year VOC from being marked as completed until it's actually done. As a teaching assistant, I know that setting up learning systems can be tricky. While I'm sorting it out, the https://studydriver.com/underground-railroad-essay/ site is helping me a lot with my studies. For some topics, I simply do not have enough time, so I can hire an author to get a finished study.
