🚨 The Case of the Missing Location Entry Dates! 🚨

We recently migrated data for around 5,000 employees from another HR system into SAP SuccessFactors. Everything seemed smooth at first…
Until we discovered something strange:
💡 The "Location Entry Date" field was missing from their Job Info records!

We thought it would be a quick fix — just go in, add the missing date, and save.
But nope! ❌ The system either rejected the change or didn’t reflect it at all.

So we reached out to our SAP consultant, and this was the response:

"You can’t add a Location Entry Date for a future date. It only updates when an employee is hired or when they actually move to a new location."

Fair enough, but we’re now stuck with thousands of employees without this key field populated.

🧠 Has anyone faced this before? How did you fix it?

Hi, Please go to provisioning and run job Initialize additional entry date fields in job info (Will set the Entry Date for the other fields - Company Entry Date, Location Entry Date, Department Entry Date and Pay Scale Level Entry Date) and see if the entry dates can be populated Please also refer to https://me.sap.com/notes/2594470 Best regards, Elsa
