LMS - user connector exception 1197

Hi!

In the brand new instance that came with IAS already implemented, we created an integration center job so we can import the platform users for the first time to the system. We used the user connector, and the import raised the following exception:

I was not able to find a exception code list from SAP and what would be the solution for this... could not find anything related to the message of this error.

have you seen this type of issue until now?

The user data sync between Platform and Learning should go through the User Connector SF, not the User Connector. Especially since it does include PERSON GUID and EXTERNAL PERSON ID which are IDs embedded in the product to better support scenarios like global assignement/concurrent employment or cross-process integration.

Hello Frederic,

thank you for that insight.

We already tested with one user via SF UC since it was urgent, and we know that works.
However we need to explain to the customer what this exception is and why we should use the other connector with more clarity(since it's not stated anywhere that SF UC is mandatory)
And just that the person guid and external person id are added with it is not a fantastic reason, since they can be mapped with the user connector as well..

Is there any documentation @SAP in regards to this specific exception you could share with us please?

Are you using the SF User or User Connector for this?

When I import external users into BizX, I put USER_SOURCE_SYSTEM = LEARNING for the user_data.txt file.

The other options are SuccessFactors Platform or Identity Provisioning

If the objective is to synchronise users between platform and learning, the SF User Connector is the only way to go.

User Connector could be used for learning only users, although SF User connector could also be considered.

This kba indicates SF UC is for integrated environment.
