LMS - Time discrepancies in emails

Hello,

We have noticed a lot of booking and reminder emails for classes are showing an hour out of what the time set up in the system is, and this is causing users to show up late and miss training sessions. There doesn't seem to be any correlation (for example, it's not happening to everyone on a certain class, and isn't happening to particular people for every class they book on, which has meant we are unable to find the cause). We have checked their PC settings to make sure their time zone is correct, as well as their settings within the system. There is also no correlation between when they booked on and whether this was before or after the clocks changed.

Is this something anyone has experienced and has found a solution for?

Hi

Check this setting in the LMS_ADMIN properties (then double check the timezone of the admin who set it up, vs a user).

# Defaults the administrator's view of users' learning plans. Administrator can set own preference. If the option is true

# then, by default, dates are displayed in the User's preferred time zone. If false, it is displayed in the Admin's preferred time zone. Default: true

learningPlanDisplayInLearnerTimezone=true

I haven't seen this issue in particular as it related to classes, but have had challenges with "EST" vs "Eastern/New York" for example, when scheduling connectors or APMs. EST is an hour different from Eastern/New York. Chris
