LMS Newly added content not visible to user for already assigned item

Hello Experts,

In LMS Newly added content for an item is not visible for user if the item is already assigned.

Note: after adding new content the course is not reassigned due to content is in progress for users. 

Is there a way to make new added content visible for user to launch without reassigning??

If you have FTP access to iContent, this is what we do:

1. Upload the SCORM files to iContent via FTP, we do NOT use the built in upload tools in SF. Example: MySCORM_V1
2. When creating the Content Object, we paste in the URL to the SCORM package that we added via FTP in step 1.
3. When we need to update the content, we manually upload another SCORM package. Example: MySCORM_V2
4. We then update the URL in the Content Object to point to MySCORM_V2.
5. Everyone will now see tghe new content, either when they go through the item for the first time, or if they choose to review the item.

Hello Chris, this method sounds super helpful. I would assume the replacement method (direct replacment in SFTP) will work for an existing content that has been imported via SF too? This method saves the reassignment email and can sneak in the content subtly with least disturbance to the users! Thanks for sharing this!

I am not 100% sure that you can use this with content already uploaded with the built in tools. I am a divisional admin, our corp admins set up our FTP access so that we only see a certain part of iContent. You would need to test with your access. But it is a way to build moving forwards.
